The Performance Report shows student performance at institutions and classes for a single test. The test must be assigned to a program in order to generate a Performance Report. This report is only available to roles with permission to view it, such as district and school administrators. The report is updated in real time. Performance Reports can be archived prior to the end-of-year roll over of roster data. ADAM will retain results from previous year programs.
- Go to Reporting > Performance.
- Select a Program.
- Click anywhere in a test row to open the Performance Report.
Battery tests: The Performance Report supports battery tests, showing aggregation at both the battery and individual unit levels. You can drill down to the individual unit reports from the Unit Reports dropdown. In the Performance Comparison area, you will see an On Target % column in place of the Progress column. In the Scope column, you can access the Student Performance battery report from the more menu.
Overview of Setup in Program Configuration
The Performance Report is highly configurable (see Program Configuration), so the examples here may not match what you see in your system. The report shows one primary objective and (optionally) one secondary objective. The primary objective is the main focus and will be emphasized on the report. The secondary objective will also be visible but not as prominent. For example, the primary objective may be Performance Level and the secondary objective may be Raw Score or Percent Correct.
Example of Performance Level as primary objective in Program Configuration (used in examples below).

Performance Summary Tab
The Performance Report has one to three tabs depending on how the program is configured. The Performance Summary tab is always available. This tab provides an overview of performance across all institutions you have access to. It shows Progress (scoring complete), Proficiency, and the performance objectives defined your program (Performance Level is shown above). In the Scope column, you can drill down to specific institutions and classes. For each class, you can also open the Class Administration Report and Class Program Report.
Note: You may see different performance metrics depending on the performance objectives selected for the program. These include Percent Correct, Raw Score, Scale Score, Performance Level, and more.
At the top of the page, you can perform the following actions:
- Test dropdown – Select a different test.
- Program Report button – Click to open the Program Report.
-
Scope picker – Select an institution to filter the report by. In the dropdown, click an arrow to expand the list of child institutions. Only the institutions you have access to will be available.
On the Performance Summary tab, you can perform the following actions:
- Show score groups as a table (for Performance Level) – Select this checkbox to show the Performance Level column as a table. This checkbox is only available if Performance Level is used in the program.
- Export Report button – Click to export the report as a CSV file.
- Compare Test With – Select a test to compare with the current test. The comparison report shows student growth across the two tests. From the comparison report, you can select another test to compare with the original test.
- Show reporting categories (PRoPL only) – Select this checkbox to show all external performance objectives, not just the primary and secondary objectives.
- In the Scope column, click an arrow to expand or contract the list of child institutions.
- At the class level, click the more menu to open one of the following reports:
- Class Administration Report – View student progress and performance for the selected administration, as well as student responses, item analysis, and standard performance if these are included in the program. This report is the same as the teachers' Class Test Report.
- Class Program Report – View student progress and results for all administrations in the program. You can search and filter the results.
- View ISR – View the Individual Student Results (ISR) report. There are several components that can be included in the report, such as Growth, Score and Performance, Outcome Table, and external data from TestNav. This report is configured in program setup and can be modified at any time.
- Student Performance – For a class or school, view the Student Performance report, which includes the Performance Summary, Item Analysis, and Standard Performance tabs. Use the search box to find a specific student. You can access a student's ISR from here by clicking their name.
Item Analysis Tab
The Item Analysis tab shows Item Details and provides an Item Performance Comparison. This tab is only available if the program is set up to use it. The Item Analysis report only displays items that are operational. Field Test items or other items without interactions, such as Directions, are not included on the report.
Item Details
The Item Details tab lists the items on the test with information about the item, including the standards, mean score, max score, and correct response. Hover over a standard to see the standard name(s) and description(s). If there is a single standard, the standard name will appear in the Standards column.
This report supports multiple forms, showing each unique item and the student performance on that item across all forms the item is on. Hover over an item number to see all the forms the item appears on.
Rubric Performance
The Rubric Performance tab shows performance on rubric traits, showing the trait name, standard, mean score, max score, and trait score distribution. This tab may not appear in your system.
Item Performance Comparison
The Item Performance Comparison tab shows performance on each item across institutions and classes.
On both the Item Analysis subtabs, click an item number to open a popup showing item content, answers, average score, and score point distribution. Use the arrows or item dropdown on the top left to go to a different item. You can open the item detail popup only if allowed by the program configuration.

Standard Performance Tab
The Standard Performance tab shows Standard Details and a Standard Performance Comparison. This tab is only available if the program is set up to use it.
Standard Details
The Standard Details tab lists the aligned standards as well as performance on the standard and the number of items aligned. Select the Show aligned items checkbox to list aligned items beneath each standard.
Click the Hierarchy tab to view a hierarchical list of the standards and performance on those standards.
Standard Performance Comparison
The Standard Performance Comparison tab shows performance on each standard at institutions and classes. You can hover over a column header to see the full standard description. The number in the column header indicates the number of items aligned to the standard.
On both Standard Performance subtabs, click any standard in the table to open a popup showing details for items aligned to the standard. Use the arrows or item dropdown on the top left to go to a different item.
